What is the best accommodation in New York for the budget traveler? I know that beggars can not choose, but do not want to be where my friend and I fear for our lives, or sleep with cockroaches. That does not bother me to pay about $ 100 per night and stay out of the city. Any help?

Try the Hotel Savoy Park W. 58th Street (link below). The rooms are clean, no daily cleaning and laundry service, is able to die - not far from Central Park and Times Square, near Carnegie Hall, and is not expensive ($ 89 last night I heard). But you must book in advance. Have fun in the city!
